Tips for Teachers
Use in Word Work Stations
Print multiple card sets and keep them at a literacy center. Students can play sight word bingo independently during center rotations with a student caller.
Progress Through Levels
Start with pre-primer words and advance through the lists as students master each level. Keep track of which lists each student has completed.
Sentence Context
When calling words, use them in a sentence: "The word is 'was'. I WAS at the park yesterday." This provides context for words that are hard to illustrate.
Pair with Word Searches
After bingo, use our word search generator to create a word search with the same sight words for additional reinforcement.
